Is the oldest British brand of motorcycles, clothing and accessories with the first product manufactured at the end of the 19th century. After selling Belstaff in 2011 the Malenotti brothers climbed aboard the Matchless train…or bike we should say, and brought out its first outerwear collection in A/W 2013 focusing on performance and technical fabrics to create premium fashionable designs. Biker jackets in antiqued leather, distressed British Millerain waxed cotton fabrics washed in top Italian laundry called Martelli and all hand stitched in Italy. In fact, despite claims to the contrary, the Malenottis seem to have picked up exactly where they left off: the website; the advertising campaign featuring Kate Moss; the use of Hollywood A-listers to promote the brand.
Matchless is still relatively a new brand to the fashion industry but already it has taken the celebrity world by storm. Celebrities such as Cara Delevingne, Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler were some of the few that were spotted immediately wearing the Matchless leather biker jackets.
This year also saw the a Matchless jacket make its first début in a Hollywood movie! Arnold Schwarzenegger was spotted in the Matchless Kensington jacket whilst in LA filming Terminator 5.
